Sunday Mornings | 9:00 a.m.
"Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you the reason for the hope that you have." -1 Peter 3:15
Grace Lutheran Sunday School
When Jesus told the 11 to go make disciples of all nations and baptize them, he also gave instructions to teach those disciples to observe all that he commanded. At San Diego Grace Lutheran, we believe you are never too old to learn, and Sunday School is part of your Christian education. It prepares you to give answers for your faith and to recognize false doctrine. It is also an occasion for greater fellowship.
Starting September 8, 2024 - 9:30-10:15 a.m.
We believe it's not only important to know what is true, but why it's true. In this day and age, followers of Jesus must know how to think clearly and biblically about their faith and how it intersects with and often contrasts with how the world thinks. These areas include one's worldview, the fact that faith is not blind, why the truth matters, why seeing design in creation points to a designer, and evidence for the soul, resurrection, and the Bible. How can God allow evil, and how do we talk with skeptics? Pr. Thomas discusses these topics and others in this easy-to-understand course on apologetics.
Class meets for Fall, Winter, and Spring sessions in the St. Mark's classroom from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.
Children's Sunday School
We currently have two classes with excellent teachers:
(1) Pre-K: Singing the faith, Bible stories, catechism memory, and crafts (held in our nursery)
(2) Elementary (K - 6th grade): Catechism 101 focuses on understanding the basic tenets of the faith using Concordia's Enduring Faith curriculum (held in the Den).
